Ajit Kushwaha


Ajit is an associate at the firm. He is a member of the corporate practice team and has a broad experience in corporate transactions, foreign investment, M&A, and joint ventures. He is experienced in drafting agreements, preparation and submission of documents to governmental bodies, conducting legal research and drafting a variety of legal documents including contracts, resolutions, legal opinions, and reports.


Ajit has experience in several commercial matters including banking, foreign investment, M&A, joint ventures and commercial disputes. He has assisted:

  • USAID in connection to regulatory and taxation issues under Nepalese law.
  • Bank Julius Baer in establishment of banking and account relationships with Nepalese banks.
  • A multinational in divesture of 100% stake in a manufacturing company. 
  • A Japanese multinational in acquisition of majority stake in a LPG business.
  • Governmental body in drafting sample documents required for foreign investment.

Ajit has obtained a five-year LL.B. degree from Kathmandu School of Law, Purbanchal University. He is awaiting his LL.M. results. He is licensed as an Advocate by the Nepal Bar Council and is member of the Nepal Bar Association.
